Man Found Dead Along Roadside In Wyandanch Was 'Victim Of Violence,' Police Say

A man found dead on the side of a roadway in Wyandanch was a victim of violence and suffered from head trauma, according to the Suffolk County Police.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating the death of the man who was found dead by a sanitation worker on the side of Spruce Street, south of Jefferson Avenue, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Thursday, May 30, the department said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, they added.
